Daily prompt: Unexpected

I look at myself in the mirror.

These frown lines, when did they appear?

And all this gray, my lifeless hair?

I look into my eyes, beyond the brown, beyond the white, beyond the light.

Look, there I am, playing in the grass, torturing a kitty, thinking I will last.

Forever.
